A real winner! The Capresso 1000 is well designed and a pleasure to use.
Positive Product Points
Super easy operation. No mess, easy to clean. Makes really good espresso, without a lot of fuss.
Negative Product Points
The LED displays are not very intuitive, so you need to keep the manual nearby until you get the hang of it. The machine has a bit more platic on it than the $850 price would indicate, but it seems reasonably well built. I‘ve had some problems using oily beans; with Illy, however, it works fine. Coffee could be a bit hotter, too.

I‘ve had the Capresso 1000 for almost 2 months, and I‘m very happy with it. I was a bit skeptical about the super-automatics, but I‘m glad that I went this route. This machine makes great espresso with very little effort and virtually no mess. I also like that it has a built-in water purification system.
