Positive Product Points

You can make twelve shots with the same quality.

  • auto power off
  • auto diagnostic (detect low water level, saturation of used coffee, descaling, cleaning)
  • accept ground coffee and pre-ground coffee
  • automatic maintenance services
  • heat in 45 secondes, 30 secondes for 2 cups of coffee
  • user set grinder, water quantity, quantity of water per cup

Maintenance can be made by using normal product like dishwashing detergents and citric acid for a cost lower that using Krups products.

Negative Product Points
  • a bit plastic
  • cup preliminary heating isn't very good (always cold) on the top
  • coffee can be a bit hotter (this is the only bad point of machine)
  • grounder have to set more finest
  • no temperature led (after a shot for example)
  • grinder is a bit noisy (Rocky is more quiet)
Detailed Commentary

I got the Krups Orchestro. Price: 485 euros

My other pump machine is a couple : Rocky+Silvia.
Making a coffee from scatch with krups is 1.5 minutes, with Rancilio I can't escept less than 15 minutes (heating, grinding, ...).
You can think that in morning, when I quit my little bed, my preference goes to Krups Orchestro!!!

It's my second Pump expresso machine but it's the first fully automatic machine. After seeing inside, I can say that design is simple and robust.

I dislike the plastic looking of the front. More metal will be great!

Very usefull if you have to make 6 expressos at the same time!!!

Very usefull if you want 2 coffee without work the morning.

I get this machine with me when I go to hollidays!!!!

Three Month Followup

After 2 years of intensive use I think that is a good machine the only one think that goes wrong is a screw in a electro-magnetic stuff. Coffee is good, sweet, ... Don't expect a strong ristretto but a good coffee for the morning.
Easy to use, easy to clean, using a silvia is more boring.
