The best entry level machine you can get. There simply are no other semi-automatic machines like this.
Positive Product Points
I have had this machine since 2002. I bought new in box from Ebay. Great semi-automatic machine for making espresso, cappuccino, latte. Easy to use. Great system for leading coffee, automatically tamping, and creating great shots. Some minor and one major problem over the years but Capresso's incredible customer service is unmatched. I would rebuy just for their customer service.
Negative Product Points
Can be a little difficult to clean certain parts, ie the drip tray has many acute angle corners that are very difficult to clean. Carousel top also can be a bugger.
Detailed Commentary
This machine has served me extremely well since 2002. I have used everyday since then with very little issue. The other reviewer who had issues with the steam wand obviously got a broken machine. The steam wand works wonderfully. If anything the machine does not make dark enough espresso. Not sure why? It seems to have the pressure but for whatever reason the espresso is not as dark as in other machines. Also crema is not as good as some other machine I have seen. I had the machine totally fail once and Capresso repaired it for $65 shipping included. The steam wand also came off and Capresso again repaired and fixed some other issues (power light), this time for $75 (inflation) including shipping.
Alas something is wrong with the machine again (steam wand seems to have a leak internally). This time I am looking to replace the machine. My first call will be to Capresso as they have some great refurb deal on the Jura's.
