we originally bought the starbucks digital italia...it never worked to our satisfaction...ie...the coffee/espresso was luke warm! We called starbucks and they instantly suggested we consider switching at no cost ( after owning the italia for a year ) to the delonghi magnifica. We are extremely satisfied...hot tasty expresso at last!

Detailed Commentary
The coffee and espresso is so great tasting from this machine that we decided to buy another for our beach house! My only concern is the exterior of the machine is mainly plastic as opposed to the stainless steel cladding of the saeco/starbucks digital italia. Aside from that I have no other criticisms. The expresso or coffee is always hot and flavourful...the foamer (though i was a bit sceptical about it) produces great microfoam. The quality of our morning coffee and espresso is so much more enjoyable than our last machine. Kudos to starbucks and delonghi for producing a great machine!
