Espresso and steam from Gaggia Coffee is comparable to that from any other home machine, though some will miss the lack of 3-way valve.
Very easy and inexpensive to repair if anything goes wrong - one of ours is about 10 years old and still running strong.  The plastic bits (filter handle, steam knob) and the showerhead valve are not hardy and occasionally need replacement, but anybody with a screwdriver can do this and the parts are just a few dollars each.
