Detailed Commentary

I bought this machine after reading some of the positive comments on this site.

Unfortunately I am less than impressed with the machine and can't understand why some key shortcomings have not been mentioned in previous reviews.

Here are my gripes: the functional design is completely stuffed. You can not fit a standard size latte glass under the portafilter unless you remove the drip tray.
There are at most 5 cms between the kitchen top and the bottom of the steam wand which means that you spill milk every time you try to froth and get your jug underneath the wand.
When steaming milk, steam also escapes from the brewhead, if you left your portafilter in then you get a nice little mess when you remove it.  According to Gaggia it isn't supposed to do this but I just got the machine back from service and nothing has changed.

Not happy, certainly wouldn't recommend the machine to anyone.

Buying Experience

Bought on eBay, no hassles.
