Press a button and away you go. Very simple to fill and use. Can use beans in the grinder or bipass and put a scoop of grounds in. Great when you want decaf at night. Makes a very nice latte. Much better then we have bought anywhere. We are not big latte connoiseurs. We prefer a mild latte, lots of milk and easy to use. Even with repair costs this was cheaper then buying lattes at Starbucks over the past year - not only on our wallet but also for calories. My latte - 100 calories. Starbucks - over 300.
Negative Product Points
It has died on us twice in one year. Certainly not the hottest latte ever. We tend to put the full cup on the hot stove for a while to heat it up before drinking. Lots of plastic parts.
Detailed Commentary
We purchased this on 11/08. It died 33 days later. It stopped making steam and dumped water down into the tray. We sent it back to wholellattelove and they kept it for 6 weeks. When it came back, badly packaged a tray had broken but it worked. It worked all year. 12/09 it broke again. Water everywhere and steam not working. Got it back two months later. Steam now works but now the dosage is the same whether you ask for 1 shot or 10. Well it works so we can deal. Packaged much better this time so no broken parts on the trip back to us.
Buying Experience
We purchased from wholelattelove. They repair what you buy from them and offered a 2nd year mini warranty. The first time it broke at 33 days we were 3 days out of the 30 day return. So they refused to send a new machine and we had to pay to ship this back. Kept ours for 6+ weeks and when it was sent back it was damaged from their bad packing. The second time this broke we sent it back. This time we were charged $100 for the repair. I was given a date of repair 2 months out. The date they had given me I still had heard nothing so I called and suddenly was told it was shipping that day. Makes me think someone missed it along the way and only got to it when I called. This time machine arrived packaged properly. But machine now produces 1 shot whether you ask for 1 or 10. Not worth the effort to contact the company over. Also we ordered some other items when we first purchased this machine. After 6 months of being told they were backordered I just canceled those items. Not sure I would buy from again except that they do repair (eventually). But will look for a company with quicker service for sure.
