really, this is a very good alternative to a steam machine. It will deliver the correct pressure in the group, even if you have to fight for temperature. The steam button will allow you to heat up to 240 F, but the regular brew will only heat up to 185 F. So to compensate for this, heat up the steam, when the temp. light goes out, release a little water (you will see steaming in the grouphead). Stop before the steam dies completely, replace the PF, and pull your shot. This will get you in the ball park of correct temperatures.

Found it on clearance at Target for $35. 2 weeks later at a different target, I found it for $16 (crazy!)
