Very simple to use, nice video instruction. Decent espresso, not great but OK, with little crema.
Negative Product Points
Coffee dosage not adjustable. All shots no matter what volume of water you dial in use a 7gm dose. Coffee/Espresso about ten degrees to cool.
Detailed Commentary
Super Automatic at a reasonable price. Wild price swings on this model lately, less than one week after I purchased, you can find these now at ~$200 on Auctions and overstock stores. This model is pretty close, if not a Saeco Vienna at $100's more.
1.5 oz shots are good, but anything larger is pretty weak. There is some crema, but not fantastic.
For a strong cup of coffee, do a 2 x 3oz brew. Press the brew button twice and it will do two brew cycles back to back.
The machine is easy to clean, with a removable brew group.
Steaming is adequate, but may add a bit too much "hot water" to your milk in your pitcher. This comes with a frothing adapter which works very well. You may get way too much froth before getting your milk hot though, and I removed the frother and it works good without it.
Buying Experience
Really shop, I blew $100 by not waiting a couple days.
Three Month Followup
Compared to prices of other Super Automatics, this has definately been the best bang for the buck. Still running well. (knock on wood) We find we are making regular coffee about 75% of the time, and it works well for this. My wife is now use to coffee not looking "black", she was put off by the crema at first. Makes good esspresso or cappacino when setting volume to about an ounce. Has been fairly easy to clean & maintain.
