The Novo 2100 is a nice, clean looking and simple to use machine. As with the other models in the Novo range it heats quickly and can be moved from coffee to steam almost instantly. It also has a large, easy to remove water tank.
Negative Product Points
I have actually found a few negative points with this machine. The heat sensor is extremely inaccurate and one often needs to guess when it's at the right temprature. Even when the temprature light does come on, it only seems to stay on for a maximum of 30 seconds. This is quite dangerous when trying to make a good cup of coffee. I found that the seals within it lasted a relatively short time (less than a year) and that when I was having problems with it, the after sales service in Australia was terrible. It stuggles with more than one cup of coffee at a time.
Detailed Commentary
As mentioned above, I have found this machine to be reasonably easy to use for a quick morning coffee. It heats up quite quickly but I have to guess when it's at the right temprature.
The machine is quite finniky when trying to get the perfect cup of coffee or when making two or more cups - which makes it almost impossible to serve a really good coffee to guests.
Having directly compared the coffee I can get out of the Novo 2100 to coffee from some much cheaper models of home esspresso machine, I would not recommend if for the $500AUD it retails at.
Buying Experience
This coffee machine was a gift so I can not comment on the original purchase. As stated above, however, the after sales support offered in Australia is nothing short of terrible. To contact the Australian distributor took a long distance call (from anywhere other than Sydney) and when I got through to them, they were nothing short of rude.
