Good espresso (for a pressurized basket), terrible frothing, trouble after a month

Detailed Commentary
Recieved this machine as a christmas gift. I was really impressed with the fast heat up time: about 4 minutes with two blank shots. The steamwand needs no heating up: it is not metal, but rubber. After using this machine for a day, i was pulling ok espresso shots: the pressurized portafilter makes the work easy, but only has a potential for o.k. shots. The single filter basket doesnt work on my machine: even running blank shots on the single basket causes the machine to choke.
After about a month, the steamwand (if you can call it that) began to fall off while i was frothing milk. This sent hot milk/steam all over the place within a 2-4 foot radius... VERY FRUSTRATING... also, the froth aid makes it nearly impossible to create microfroth. I called Krups, and had them send a new frothing tip. I also told them about the single basket problem.
After two months of frustration with the single filter basket and the frothing tip, i returned the machine. I am currently waiting on my Silvia that i ordered from WLL.. i cant wait!
