Detailed Commentary
Bought online and had to return because of internal leak. ( poor quality control possibly )Second machine does not leak underneath as did the first. Never-the-less the filter section of my XP2000 is unuseable since the coffee produced continues to be tainted by plastic taste. I have flushed boiling water through the drip system 5 or more times and made coffee about ten times before giving up completely on the filter side. I believe that a poor quality plastic has been used in the making of the XP2000 and as it is subjected to very hot water will always contaminate the coffee. As to the espresso side I am afraid that the pressure of steam is not really great enough to get the true taste of the ground coffee into the shot. The milk frother can be used with very great care but produces only a medium and inconsistent foam. Sorry Mr Krups customer shouldn't have to do your quality control and I shouldn't have expected so much for so little outlay
