Owned for less than 6 months and have to replace it because steam works at about 10% of original capacity, although it has been maintained and cleaned regularly.
Detailed Commentary
Moved into beautiful new house and needed a new espresso machine so decided on this espresso/coffee maker (side by side). It worked beautifully at first, is decent looking and easy to use. It produced very nice espresso and wonderful froth. After about 3 months of daily use, the steamer started producing less and less, although the pump still worked(I could hear it). I cleaned the machine well but it did not matter, it is shot. Now, espresso is okay - not great - but all I get is watered down milk.
Also, the coffee pot side is poorly designed. If you don't put the pot in precisely correctly(it has a slightly rounded top), the brewed coffee does not flow into the pot, but instead, flows all over the top and onto the counter and then the floor.
I've owned Krups products before and was happy but this is strictly junk.
Buying Experience
Bought from Home Depot. Still have receipt. Planning on returning this product to store but doubt they will credit my $200, but it is worth a try.
