i'm a happier man thanks to that machine. i owned the la-pavoni professional (a lever machine) and after it died (it was a used and badly maintained machine) i decided me and my girlfriend need to upgrade our morning and evening coffee. i checked and tested many machines in the "up to a 1000$" standard. the oscar and the silvia were the best (i had to buy from a shop that didn't have quickmills, otherwise, it would have also been in the top three if not the first). although i really liked the silvia, i fell in love with the oscar. elegantly designed (i have the red version), sturdy built, fast working, beautiful crema and powerful steamer. i especially loved the feel of the machine - i felt almost like i'm working with a professional machine again.
