I also am astounded by people's positive reviews of this product. I don't usually participate in newsgroups or product reviews, but my experience wth this "coffee maker", "made me do it". I bought a second one after using the first for 2 weeks, believing it must be a physical malfunction that makes this "contraption" produce such swill. I spent $30-$40 on various "pods" to experiment. Instant coffee would have been a "blessing" next to the crap these machines made. Popular in Europe? Oh well, that solves that mystery.
