Positive Product Points
Upgraded from a Sylvia. Alexia is a GREAT machine. Got the PID and a nice timer. Good solid value for the $$$. No need to spend $2000.
Negative Product Points
The stainless steel cup tray that must be removed to fill the water tank fits a little tight and must be taken out very carefully. Not the greatest steamer either.
Detailed Commentary
Ordered from Chris Coffee a few months back. Came well packaged with a video and instructions on how to froth and use the machine, Very simple start up. I also needed a timer which they helped me pick out. I had no clue what the BAR gauge meant so they sent me a nice long email explaining what it was.
This machine takes a lot of the guessing out of making coffee. With the PID, you know the temperature is dead on. It heats up to full temp in around 15 minutes. The PID is programmed and installed at Chris Coffee so all you do it plug the machine in, set it to the temp that you want the water to be when it hits the coffee and that's it. No brainer. No more temp surfing, Miss Sylvia.
It took a few shots to get the hang of the lever and the grind that I needed on my Vario. Once you get the grinder dialed in, great shots every time. Perfect temperature every time.
Strong and well built. Beautiful finishes and lines. I Love it.
Buying Experience
Chris must have answered 20 questions or more via email before I bought it. He was out of town on a Sunday and still responded. Great folks. Would never buy anywhere else.
