It is easy to keep it clean.You have to be patient with it, and get to know how it works. You can't just use any espressogrind with it (the right grind is important). Empty the dispenser after use and wipe off the steamhead after use.
It takes time to learn how to operate the Silvia. You probably need a good grinder to get the most out of it. And I have heard from many users that a good grinder is almost neccesary.
