Ordered a Silvia & Rocky shortly before Christmas. Received both with-in one week. The Silvia had been fitted with a faulty thermostat. As a result, every other brew resulted in steam and water spurting forcefully out the sides of the portafilter. After approximately four weeks, the machine simply stopped working. Throughout the experience, Latte Love was assuring me this sort of thing rarely happens, if never.
Second replacement Silvia arrives, along with a second $400 charge to my credit card. The replacement machine arrives packed on its side. This is a no, no. Box has clearly been opened since original packing. Some original packing material is missing. The steaming wand is bent. Internal nuts which hold the housing of the machine in place are missing allowing the outer housing to flop open and closed. The exterior of the machine is scored. All hand removable parts are missing; things like the water tank, portafilter, all filters, coffee measure, water tray, tamper, etc, etc. Par for the course, Latte Love was supposed to ship replacement parts, for the defective Rocky grinder they sold me, with the replacement espresso machine. No replacement Rocky parts were included.
What’s a guy to do. $1000+ later and two dead espresso machines in my kitchen…The sales lady at Latte Love asked me if I would like to put yet a third machine on my credit card. Round the whole thing up to an even $1400.
I have been instructed to contact customer care tomorrow morning at 9am Eastern Standard Time. Stay toned. I’ll let you know how Latte Love elects to handle their problem.
