Detailed Commentary
This is my second consumer machine purchase. My previous machine used a thermoblock and performed poorly, which provided significant motivation to move to a boiler based machine such as the Silvia. The Silvia is a high quality piece of machinery that is capable of making very good espresso. Matched with a high quality grinder, I believe you would be pushed to find a better value for money machine/combo. The only negative feedback I can provide is a poorly written owners manual and the lead time required to go from brewing temperature to frothing temperature. Apart from this, the Silvia is everything you could want in a consumer based machine. I use my machine daily to produce between 3 to 6 coffee beverages. It is extremely reliable and never dissapoints.
