Detailed Commentary
I have owned this refurbished Magic Deluxe for over 8 years now. Yes, it still works fine and delivers what we need...a simple good cup of coffee. The Magic Deluxe is our first superautomatic and we've had no desire to upgrade or replace it. I have had to replace the boiler ( about $180) and a few minor gaskets/parts. I am careful to keep it clean and follow the perscribed maintenance schedule. For a tune up or major repair, I would recommend Cafe West Distribution. The primary reason I don't wish to upgrade is that this model is able to make an occasional cup of decaf coffee. The Magic has a ground coffee by-pass so I don't have to change out the beans resting in the hopper.
