I was very impressed with it when I first bought it. Starbucks did a wonderful job selling and supporting the machine. They even helped me with idiot newbie questions that should have been taken elsewhere. While the Barista lacks the ability to pull shot after shot and steam drink after drink, for one or two drinkers, the quality of the espresso is difficult to beat, very consistent, and quite easy to reach. I have had mine for four years, and it has had no troubles whatsoever.
