overall it seems to be a great espresso maker. i stopped using my barista, just because it took too long to make espresso, and then clean up the mess. this unit is very simple to use. it has numerous adjustments, such as amount of grounds per shot, temperature of shot, and length of shot. virtually no mess to clean up. very happy with taste of espresso made. also has built in clock that turns on, and warms machine at specific time, also shuts down. tells you when grind tray needs to be emptied, alos tells yoy when to clean. did have one problem with steam wand about 1 month ago, it seems that where the wand attatches to the unit, the wand is metal and the hose is plastic, split where they connect. but called starbucks and they replaced the unit with no fuss. still love this machine.
