Detailed Commentary
We have had two Sunbeam EM6900s espresso machines in the 7 years that we have been living in Australia. Both completely broke down after a few years and were beyond repair. Our second machine recently stopped steaming properly. They are very user-friendly and their design is well thought off--however, it is the quality of their manufacture which is the main problem. The painted surfaces becoming bubbly and starting to flake off is particularly worrisome, especially from some a health perspective, as the paint dust makes its way into the water reservoir. We have contacted Sunbeam about this a few times, but their customer service department never had the courtesy to answer or address our concerns. You are better off with another machine. We are looking for a new machine, but it will not be a Sunbeam EM6900 again!
Buying Experience
Buying experience was great. Customer service was an issue, especially, since these machines start to get issues after the warranty has expired. Do not expect Sunbeam to be open for comments or to provide any customer service. Lousy service would be the best way to describe it.
