OK for the occasional coffee drinker but daily coffee drinkers should shop for a unit more durable.

Makes good coffee. Digital display is clean and crisp. Timer is intuitive to use.

Shows signs of wear quickly with use. The purification filter is of no value or use. Needs to be replaced every 3 months at a cost of $8.00.
Detailed Commentary
This unit makes a pretty good cup of coffee. Make sure to use the gold filter baskets instead of the paper ones being offered. We noticed some of the paper taste leaches into the coffee. The digital display is clean and well lit. Setting the timer is intuitive and easily mastered without looking at the directions. This product will automatically turn off after 4 hours but offers the capability to be set for less time. A big plus for this unit is that the replacement glass coffee pots are easily found just about anywhere i.e. hardware store, Wal-Mart, etc.
We got the unit in white and would get the black instead. The reason is that during the brewing process, outer portions of the plastic turned a light brown. This would be well hidden with the black unit.
We brew two pots of coffee each day and notice that this product really shows the wear and tear early in its life. For occasional use, this is a good unit but for the frequent coffee drinker, you may want to buy two.
