Detailed Commentary
These units have to be..... one of the fastest and easiest coffee brewers to use, that also can boast of very good coffee from numerous roasts and grinds. Unlike any coffee brewer I now own, or have owned, the coffee is "being made" basically as I pour water into the rear reservoir! Since this machine keeps a pot full of water inside it's rear tank already preheated and ready to go, the coffee begins to pour through the grounds the moment you add water to the rear of the coffee maker, (thus, forcing the preheated water out and over the grounds in the filter basket!). So, the FIRST thing to make sure you remember.....is to not use the furnished carafe to fill this coffee maker with water. If it's like my unit, you'll have coffee all over the counter top, before you can get the carafe into position to catch it!! ( I use a predefined Tupperware measuring pitcher to add water to the machine and this has worked great, every time.) The Bunn is also extremely well made and mine has now lasted over 4 years, without a single glitch in its operation, temp output, or having an element burn out. (I AM, lucky, to live in a soft water area, which has helped a great deal with this machine's long life span). There are no LED clocks, on this machine. No pause and serve. No, pre-sets to make your coffee before you wake up each morning. it just "makes coffee" and does it very well! I HATE this site's rating for "Aesthetics", as I cannot see one advantage or disadvantage this rating has for judging a coffee maker!?? Sorry, but when I spend my MONEY on a coffee maker, I would like it to LAST, MAKE GREAT COFFEE and if it can DO THAT, but happens to be "ugly as sin", so be it?! Who cares? It's a real shame, that GoffeeGeeks may drag down an excellent coffee maker's performance, all because "It's not PRETTY sitting on the counter"!?! So, if you're shopping for a coffee maker that "looks lovely along side the toaster", perhaps one other than, this excellent Bunn coffee maker, would be to your liking!? IF, however, you want value for dollars spent, great drip coffee every time and don't care if it has the "right bling" or not, then the Bunn is a great choice!
Buying Experience
Typical "outlet mall" shopping experience............ "find it, buy it, take it home"....... nothing spectacular.
