Bottom Line: Fantastic brewer for the price; better cup of coffee than others I've used; because of consistency, allows user to experiment with grind more than most.
Positive Product Points

Fresh pot of consistent coffee in about three minutes.  No burnt taste.

Negative Product Points

Wish it had a timer and was faster to clean.

Detailed Commentary

Brews a fresh pot of consistent coffee in just over three minutes without an obnoxiously acidic or burnt taste, regardless of variety of bean used.  A no-frills coffee maker that relies on consistent water temperature and saturation of grounds to provide an excellent cup of coffee.  I had a Braun Aromasaver (?) with a replaceable filter cartridge for a number of years prior to getting my Bunn, and the difference is remarkable.  Same variety/grind of coffee on other makers simply does not taste as good as the Bunn.  I only wish it had a timer switch, but from start to finish, it brews in about three minutes, so that's not a big problem.  I like the separate warming pad switch which allows me to protect the just brewed coffee from "cooking" on the warmer.  I am able to simply pour the coffee into a 'thermos' without any additional heat applied after the brewing process.

Buying Experience

Decent retail store, but a bit pricey.  Easily find similar product elsewhere for around $90.

Three Month Followup

Each pot of coffee is the same as the previous, which can be a good thing.  My only displeasure after nearly two years of ownership is that there's a noticeable lack of body and sharpness to the coffee, and it seems to have nothing to do with the amount of grounds.  Every cup of coffee is quite mellow, sometimes you miss the acrid taste you get from a strong cup of coffee.  I think the taste of the coffee could benefit from having the hot water mingle with the grounds in the brew funnel a bit longer than the maker allows.  I also own a press pot and a difference of a minute can make all the difference in the world.  Having said that, I'd still buy this BUNN again.

One Year Followup

The brewer continues to function well after two years of ownership.  Within the past year, I moved to an area with harder water and have noticed increased lime build-up which necessitates cleaning a bit more frequently (once every 2-3 mos., though manufact. indicates monthly).  There was a recall on similar BUNN models that may still be in effect, though my model wasn't affected.  That said, the hot water reservoir housing is a bit warm to the touch.  I use the brewer daily and it has never failed me.  A lot more than I can say for other automatic drip coffee makers I have owned of similar cost.  If this one ever goes, I would definitely buy again.
