I continue my search for a home drip machine that will achieve at least 190. Starbucks Barista Aroma scores 185. The Cuisnart Brew Cental comes in at 180 and this Bunn only made it to 175.
Since none of them achieve a proper temperature, all fail as usable brewers.
These manufacturers talk about the factors in brewing a good cup of coffee to some length: fresh pure water, freshly roasted and properly ground coffee, measured in the correct proportion....but, none of that matters if the water isnt hot. I know. I've got the freshly roasted beans, I've grinded the beans: coarse, medium and fine. i use only spring water. I've run the gamut on proportion. I've done it all. but, without the proper temperature....which leads me to the following question: why would an engineer at (Bunn/Starbucks/Mr Coffee/ Cuisnart) release a product whose sole purpose is the brew coffee from beans at 190 and fail to reach that mark? ( yes, its rhetorical...I know the answer is mulla...the age old...)
