The recall from Bunn is a big rip-off. I had a less than a year old coffee maker and then I had the choice of purchasing a new one for half price. I believe Bunn should have replaced it for free, it was their error. I wish I would have given it more thought and just went out and bought a new one period. Instead of the original price of $80, I now have a $130 coffee pot, and it will be my last one. Never will I purchase a Bunn product.
Detailed Commentary
It was a win, win for the Bunn company. They didn't give you much of a choice. Be without coffee for a week, buy a new coffee pot, wait until they send the part to fix it yourself, put out money to purchase one at half the cost, so they say, and wait until they ship it. Now come on do you know anyone willing to wait a week for a cup of coffee??? I don't and I won't. I wish I would have given it more thought, because I would have just went and bought a new Mr. Coffee. He does a good job. And that is what I will buy from now on.
