Positive Product Points
I have owned this machine for a number of years and love it. The burr grinder works well . The coffee this machine produces is superb if you do your part and clean it regularly. I have rarely had a product that I have been so consistently happy with.
Negative Product Points
Carafe is not so well designed. You have to lift the cover to pour ,otherwise it pours all over the counter. Its also very tall and barely fits under the average cupboard .I have to pull it out to fill with beans or water.Really other than that I have had no problems at all after daily use for going on 5 years
Detailed Commentary
I love when people see this machine for the first time. The noise of the burr grinder , the filter basket clicking over, the smell of fresh ground coffee. I have probably caused 10 of these to be bought over the years after people see mine and taste the coffee it produces. I like how you can program it to start up in the morning( or at night for that matter) It often wakes me up just before my alarm when it starts grinding. I use this coffeemaker almost everyday and it has never needed anything to keep right on working. So from a quality stand point it has been a superb product
Buying Experience
I cannot remember who I bought it off of . I wish I could because the servicewas awesome . Because I live in Canada the vendor shipped it UPS and I got stung by a hefty 70 dollar cross border brokerage fee from UPS and when I complained they refunded my entire shipping cost and said they would remember this for the next time they ship to Canada.Other well known shipping companys do not charge this outrageous fee
