Good pot, great accessories though a little pricey
Positive Product Points
The thermal carafe is TOPS! The temperature of coffee at 0530 was 185F, six hours later it was 102F. It functions real well. The brew through top is a pretty neat one-way valve design.
Another cool item is the included container for milk. One can use it for frothing OR use included tubing to froth from another container.
Negative Product Points
A couple of things irked me. 1) Though I like how the basket swings out ,I have difficulty with it needing a button. The more moving parts, the more things can go wrong. 2) Setting the timer/clock struck me as being more difficult than it needed to be.
Detailed Commentary
I think I made a worthwhile purchase. I was a little put off by the $199.00 price tag but that has eased with research. Brew temp of water prio to hitting grounds has been between 195F-200F. Brewed coffee has been measuring around 185F. All within the purist parameters.
The aforementioned carafe keeps me from cooking coffee after it has been brewed...BIG plus.
The coffee I have been producing with this pot has been consistant. It doesn‘t compare to my fleet of vac brewers but I knew that going in.
It appears to be a quality product that I hope will last. We‘ll save that for another review.
