While the reviews were mixed, I went ahead and bought the Capresso anyway.
I should have listened to the reviewers who said it just wasn't hot enough. They were right.
If you like hot coffee, not warm coffee, look elsewhere. Especially if you plan on using the machine's automatic timer to have the coffee ready for you in the morning. Unless you preheat the carafe by filling it with boiling water then dumping it out, the coffee is just warm. As in you could chug it down, no sipping necessary. And how do you preheat the carafe when you are sleeping?

Williams Sonoma had the machine in stock for an easy purchase. They were also very understanding and took the machine back without any problem.
