Coffee not hot enough, carafe holds temperature for only 45 minutes to 1 hour. The replacement machine broke on the first run, leaking water from the base.
Detailed Commentary
After 1 year of not being satisfied I called the company. They indicated an upgraded model was available for $75. I agreed and the new machine arrived 2-1/2 weeks later (see Buying Experience). The new machine failed in the first running. It took 25 minutes to go through the brew cycle, made loud popping sounds and leaked water onto the counter. After waiting 10 minutes from the first run I ran a second one. The time for a complete brew cycle this time was 8 minutes, but there was water on the counter again. I'm sending it back and will go buy the TechniVorm Mochamaster. It's more money, but my coffee is worth it. Do Not Buy This Machine!!!
Buying Experience
To get a replacement unit I had to send my old one to Capresso and wait for the new unit. So I paid up front and waited. That also meant I had to go buy a new cheap machine to be able to have coffee at home. This is horrible customer service. They did send a pre-paid label by email, so I guess that makes it good service by their measure. Wrong!
