Detailed Commentary
My biggest problem with this unit is the company itself and their refusal to sell me a burr set.
1) Unit is made so the user can not disassemble it. The grind chamber is held together by three screws, two visible and one hidden. The third screw is hidden under a small plastic, hardly noticeable, plug on the back of the grind chamber. The secret to getting it out is to drill a small hole in the top of the plug, thread in a small screw and pull up to remove the plug. Once all three screws are out, you will be able to get into the grind chamber to clean it out.
2) After 2 years of almost daily use, my burrs were shot. I stole a set from our hardly used Capresso 560 grinder and the CoffeeTeam was back in action. Now the real problem starts, getting burrs from Capresso. No luck. No burrs from Capresso.
I have called New Jersey on several occasions only to be treated to round after round of rude and arrogant customer support personnel that will only go so far as to say "The lower burr is an internal part and we don't sell internal parts." I have never be able to get to anyone that indicates they have the least bit of interest in helping me or supporting their product.
There is no service option for my now dull and pretty much useless grinder, nor can I buy a burr set for it.
I like the product, but could do without the company.
