Large machine with a large price. Makes good coffee but not great. Can it outperform a mid-priced maker? I'm not sure!
Positive Product Points
Looks good and has that "pro" stainless steel look. Seems sturdily built.
Negative Product Points
Large profile; tall. Cost.
Detailed Commentary
I was hesitant to spend $100 on a coffee maker but was enticed with a 20% discount. I bought it mainly due to the reviews on this website. It is rather large so it takes up lots of space and you can't just easily hide it in a corner. My previous coffee maker ,which this replaced, was an old Mr. Coffee; although I can tell that this Cuisinart brews better tasting coffee than my old one I just don't have another medium priced one to compare it too. I'm not sure the taste is worth the price. I may buy a $40'ish coffee maker just to compare and take the loser back. The controls are easy to use and the carafe is nice.
Buying Experience
Purchased at Linens and Things. This coffee maker is priced at $99.99 everywhere but they had a 20% discount coupon. No problems with the purchase.
Three Month Followup
Small opening to pour the water into makes it difficult. Still brews good coffee. Don't use the timer feature very much. Good so far but still think it's pricey.
