This machine is my 2nd of this type. My husband accidentally destroyed our first one.
This machine brews a great cup of coffee & is easy to program. It also is nice looking.
Negative Product Points
Sometimes the carafe temperature control is a little wacky. Kind of a pain in the rear having to get new water filters every few months. When stealing a cup of coffee before the pot is finished it keeps dripping coffee. Takes too long to brew a pot.
Detailed Commentary
I initially purchased this product 5 years ago. It is a good reliable coffee maker, but it isn't perfect.
First, the positives: It looks cool. Matches the look of my stainless steel kitchen very nicely. It also brews a good cup of joe. It is easy to program.
The coffee pot is reliable & works well. When the carafe is set at MEDIUM, it is at a perfect drinking temperature.
The water filters are easily found at Bed, Bath and Beyond. This is the only retailer I've consistently found these filters at.
The gold filter that comes with the coffee maker is nice, but I usually replace it once a year. Also find this at Bed Bath and Beyond consistently.
Although it takes a little too long to brew a pot of coffee IMHO, it is well worth the wait! The taste is very good.
Buying Experience
Bought this machine at Famous Barr (before it became Macy's) - no problems with buying this. Used a gift card to cover the bulk of the cost. Good customer service as usual from Famous Barr. Man, I miss that store. I recently was in Macy's and they leave a lot to be desired in the customer service department!
