I bought the Brew Central after a lot or research and reading a number of reviews. I have been very pleased with it. The coffee definitely passes the taste test and is also very hot. I admit confusion about the temperature. Others who have measured the temperature, have measured it around 195, right in the ideal range. I called Cuisinart and they said it brews at 185. I tried to measure it before it goes into the basket, but have only been able to measure it between 175-185. So who knows? But it definitely very hot and the taste does not seem to suffer from whatever the temperature is. I also love the 1-4 cup feature, which double heats the water to ensure it does not brew at too cold a temperature even with small amounts. I like the looks, but I realize that is just a matter of taste and others might not like it. Some have complained about the small opening for pouring the water in, but I have not found it to be a problem at all. I don't exactly have the best hand eye coordination in the world, but I have never had a problem with it.

Bought from Bed, Bath and Beyond with a 20% off coupon. Interestingly, I didn't have a coupon, so I asked the young lady at the register if she could give me one when I was ready to check out. She did, and I got the discount. Can't beat that. Amazon.com frequently has reconditioned units for app. $50.
