Detailed Commentary
I have owned this product since April 2004. It has come to my attention many consumers do not like having to clean their products. In my opinion, cleaning a coffeemaker is essential to good quality taste! Cleaning the grinder is easy and takes only a couple of minutes. Yes, the grinder becomes wet during non-grinding brews. I lift open the lid after brewing and it dries everything out well! Also, at times I have noticed unstandard strength of the coffee. However, I have found a slight increase in coffee beans reduces this. Also, there have been times when the water somehow overflows the basket. In my experience, many coffeemakers do the same. This is probably not a machine I would recommend for daily use. The grinder is not made for daily use or multiple daily uses due to it is not rated as commerical grade! I would buy a new machine and in fact, am looking for a new one!
