Detailed Commentary
10 - 15 mins to clean after each use. Don't have that kind of free time. This is my 3rd cuisinart small appliance, and my last. I have a toaster that toasts only side of the bread, a toaster oven broiler that the toast feature stopped working the first year, and now a coffee maker that I have to get up early to clean. Good news is, Kohls will take it back. This was my first grind and brew, didn't really know what to look for (I should have consulted coffeegeek first). When I replace this unit I may skip the grind and brew feature. It seems that the water resevoir and the grinder should be separated so the grinding unit does not get all wet. In this unit, the water and grinder share a lid, so of course, the steam goes everywhere. Probably all grind and brews have the same affliction. I may look for the Krups fmf5.
Buying Experience
I never complain about Kohls. There's always a coupon to use and they'll take this coffemaker back. I feel bad returning a used coffeemaker, but I bought my other defective cuisinart appliances at Kohls, also. And I didn't bring that annoying toaster back.
