I find that this brewer not only uses a lot of beans for 12 cups(almost the whole 8 ounces), but makes very strong coffee. I love strong coffee(Starbucks French Roast and Expresso) but even for me when set on strong, it is to strong with all the beans it uses. After tweaking, set on 10 cups grind it is better. When lifting the hopper out to clean, unless you move remaining beans to the front they will go all over. After using for a while and making adjustments this is a very good product. It is expensive, I paid $199.99 plus Minnesota sales tax, was frustrated at first because of all the beans it uses. After using it for a while I have learned how to make adjustments. It is easy to clean. Comes with a video which I have not watched yet and a 3 yr warranty.
