Poor design. Very difficult to properly place the carafe under the filter basket. Coffee accumulates in filter and overflows instead of dripping into carafe.
Detailed Commentary
I had been looking for a reasonably priced 10-cup thermal drip coffee maker for some time. I was happy to find this Delonghi 24/7 model at my local Costco. I set this up before bedtime every night for 10 consecutive days. I found it very difficult to position the carafe properly on its base under the filter holder. 6 out of 10 mornings I came down to a horrible mess. Coffee and grounds had leaked from the filter holder all over my counter and floor! Only one or two cups of the coffee/ground mixture made it into the carafe! After 10 mornings of this I decided that I was not going to get the hang of this and returned it to Costco.
I then purchased the Zojirushi Fresh Brew from Costco.com. for $63 (see my review on this site). This was also a 10-cup with a thermal carafe. I have owned it now for 1 week and am very satisfied.
