Not the coffee machine for people who enjoy fresh, hot coffee.
Positive Product Points
The fact that you don't have to pour the coffee is a plus. Also, I guess that you don't ever get burned coffee is good.
Negative Product Points
The coffee is only HOT the first cup, after that you have luke warm coffee. If you use a Thermos or Large cup they are awkward to fill. Also, the drip plate is to far back to actually catch any drips coming from the brew station. I am frequently wiping up the counter in front of the coffee maker.
Detailed Commentary
I was very disappointed after paying $50 for something I thought would be a convenience, I then had to use my microwave to heat up the coffee after the first cup. My husband uses a thermos for work and filling that was very awkward, you have to pour it from the top. The coffee does stay hot in a steel thermos though, and actually seems to get hotter - so if you wish to try this out or have already purchased one, pour the coffee into a steel thermos after you brew it and you'll be good. Otherwise, skip the purchase of this machine. Bottom line, I wouldn't recommend it unless you like your coffee barely warm, or if you add cream and like your coffee cooled off.
Buying Experience
I bought the brew station at the grocery store because our other pot had bit the dust and I wasn't planning any other store trips that day. The Cub foods that I bought it at has EXCELLENT service, they just are not an appliance store, and I will think twice before purchasing an appliance there again.
Three Month Followup
I have gone back to Mr. Coffee. I love the new coffee pot and would not go back to this one, however I have talked to 2 other people that have purchased the Hamilton Beach coffee pot and absolutely love it! So it's all a matter of preference!
