I have always made espresso based drinks and over the year have spent over 8K alone on espresso equipment. I can make a great espresso and espresso based drinks now. However, repeatability is still a problem for me (probably because i keep upgrading equipment). I picked up the Woodneck from Sam on this site and my first attempt using limited equipment and technique resulted in a wonderful cup of smooth tasting black gold. Why did i ever spend so much money when i could have spent $30-$40 to experience such great coffee?
This is a great method of making coffee. I picked it up out of curiosity and because i wanted something that is simple where i didn't have to warm up my prosumer E61 machine for an hour or wake the family with the loud pumps and titan grinders. I love it.
