By far the best home brewer on the market. I did my homework. 6 months and thrilled
Positive Product Points
Correct brewing temp...200 2 heating elements 5 -6 minute cycle..not too long hot water bypass
Negative Product Points
White casing is discoloring after 6 months use where steam rises
Detailed Commentary
After extensive manufacturer research, I choose to upgrade to the Kitchenaid. It doesn]t have the sexy Italian names that some think you need to get the best. But who cares...! It correctly brews at about 200 versus most home units that brew at 170. It also has 2 heating elements and brews at the right speed: 5 - 6 minutes. It also has a hot water bypass for toning down the strength. (The correct method...add hot water after brewing to weaken to taste) I got mine for 69.00 (without programmable feature) and all my friends agree...the best cup.
