A great coffee maker for the price and a good recommendation from the consumer reviews on coffeegeek.com.  The coffee tastes great and is hot. I love the space saving on the counter vs my twelve cup Mr. Coffee.  Great price too!

I have experienced the drippy carafe problem mentioned in the 02/12/2003 review written by Misty.  Also having a problem getting more than 3.5 cups of coffee even though I fill it to the max fill line. Any suggestions on this for a newbie?

I really enjoy this coffee maker and it's simplicity.  I have a 12 cup Mr Coffee that worked well but, being the only coffee drinker in the house, it was overkill and took counter space.  I like the look of the Kitchenaid and the design.  I have the red model.  The coffee is very good from this machine and quite a bit warmer than I got with the Mr. Coffee.  My only negatives were mentioned above  and I have tried several different coffees and grinds to get a full four cups out of it.  No luck yet but really enjoy what I get. The salesperson that sold me the cffeemaker stated that Kitchenaid was having some type of problems with the factory over seas that made their coffee makers and was going to stop making them.  She stated that they had clearanced out all their stock of the 12 cup makers in the store. Has anyone else heard this? I certainly hope they don't and either work out the problems or find another factory.  I would consider buying a 12 cup maker to have around for gusests. This is a great coffee maker for the price.

The buying experience at Great Indoors in Columbus Ohio was good for a non coffee specialty store.  The sales person was very knowledgeable about the Kitchenaid line and was helpful.
