ProLine makes excellent coffee of you can put up with a little dribbling on the countertop.
Positive Product Points
Top of the line coffee maker. The brew temperature is close to 200°F and the coffee brews fast enough for good extraction. Coffee from the ProLine is excellent.
Negative Product Points
Rather large unit. At a typical price of $300, it is expensive. I will never use the extra coffee warmer.
Detailed Commentary
Easy to use, programable (a feature I do not use), attractive on the counter and built like a tank. I had problems with my original unit and KitchenAid sent a replacement unit right away and paid for return pick-up and shipping. What a pleasure doing business with KitchenAid. Again, the coffee from this unit is excellent. I use the standard Bunn filters and clean-up is easy. About the only issue I have with the coffeemaker is condensation. KitchenAid added a cover over the spout on the carafe, so condensation from the pot is no longer an issue. But on cool mornings, especially with the brew temperature being quite high, there is a lot of condensation from the beautiful stainless steel filter basket holder which dumps on the counter and the front of the machine when you pull the basket to empty the grounds. The coffee is worth the minor clean-up, but that extra stainless holder causes somewhat of a problem. I am glad that I own this coffee maker. It makes the best of my home roasted coffee.
