A little expensive for a drip machine, but worth it.
Positive Product Points
A high quality machine that looks good on the countertop. Brews quickly and at the correct temperature. Pours very easily.
Negative Product Points
If you overfill the water reservoir, there is no way to empty it without turning the machine on and running the water through the filter basket.
Detailed Commentary
I bought this machine based on looks and construction, not because I had read any reviews of it. It had all the features I was looking for: stainless warming plate, side view reserviour meter, and simple controls. I was surprised at how good the coffee tasted, and how quickly it brewed.
The unique carafe has a metal pour lip that runs the entire way around the top. While this looks very nice, it also is very hard to spill, as in my past experience Mr Coffee's and similar often do.
I have always used filtered water, and decalcify the machine often, but the machine does seem much slower today than it was three years ago.
This machine has grown with me as a coffeegeek, from the gourmet folgers through Starbucks to Peets, and delivers coffee that tastes as good as any drip machine.
