excellent unit if the power doesn't glitch. Too bad they don't make it any more or at least one with the same features

the Timer, adjustable warming temp and brew rate are excellent.
Negative Product Points
Forgets the time when the power glitches. The white plastic turns coffee colored quickly. After 6 years the thermal limit switch went, and I can't find a replacement.
Detailed Commentary
I've had this unit for 6 or 7 years and it has been excellent for the most part. It tends to forget the time when the power glitches, so I modified it to last longer without AC power (I added caps internal, voided warrantee, but oh well). It really sucks to have to wait for coffeee in the morning because the lights flickered in the middle of the night.
The white plastic has turned coffee colored and it gets dirty very quickly.
I love the ability to set the warming plate temp, and I wish more had this, or there were more large size thermal carafe units around. After having a kid burned by a coffeee spill because the maker just sat and cooked the coffee on really hot, being able to set the warming temp lower and closer to where I like to drink it is very nice.
The coffeee it makes has always been good
We liked it so much we bought my in-laws the last one Bed Bath and Beyond had.
The thermal limit switch finally went after all these years and I can't get a replacement so we will be buying a new coffee maker.
