The BEST carafe I've used, period. Easy to use, easy to clean. A great coffee maker for a good price.
Positive Product Points
Heats the water to 195*, which is the minimum suggested temp. for perfect coffee. Very easy to operate. The double walled carafe keeps the coffee hot for 5-6 hours, even 6+ years later.
Negative Product Points
Aroma control thermostat had to be replaced after about 2 years....the 2nd one was removed (easily by myself) after another 2 years or so....and I can't really tell the difference.
Detailed Commentary
I LOVE this machine....I use it everyday at work and it is still kicking after about 6 years of use. The carafe has a nice large 'footprint', which helps it to sit in a car seat, or on the floor board as you drive. It makes taking a 'thermos' very easy and convenient. The carafe has a spring loaded button in the top which makes the 'fill' very quick and easy, and the pour feature is very easy also. It makes great coffee and I've talked my sister and mother into buying this model also....they love this machine. The carafe design is the BEST, period. It can't be easier to use. I highly recommend this machine.

Krups was very quick to respond to my complaint about the part that failed, and they replaced it promptly (free).
