Bottom Line: Decent hot coffee, terrible build quality with ineffective water measure made like free giveaway children's toy, would prefer ordinary glass container.
Positive Product Points

It makes decent hot coffee, which I guess is the most important thing of all and earns it all of the 5 point score. In particular the coffee is hot enough. Luke warm coffee can be a major problems with some drip machines.

Negative Product Points

Terrible build quality - completely flimsy. Dont like the thermos container.

Detailed Commentary

So much for solid German engineering. It took three attempts at the store to get an axample of the product that didnt have hard plastic glue bits, scratches or other quality faults.

The see through water measure device on the side of the machine is a piece of crud. It continually fills up with air bubbles and has to have the flimsy plastic components tken apart to rectify....grrrrrrr!

I thought the thermos-type container would be a major benefit but it only keeps the coffee hot enough for say 30 minutes to my taste and a glass unit would look nicer.

Buying Experience

Arnotts is a great Irish store but choice of filter coffee machines was poor - but better than anywhere else in Ireland.
