Lots of features, terrible hot plate, burns the coffee, but overall a decent easy to use morning cup!
Positive Product Points
If you take the coffee out of the pot right away it is not too bad. It is easy to use and cleaning the filter/blade combo is not too hard.
Negative Product Points
Overall, the biggest problem I have is that the coffee tastes burnt after about 30 minutes on the warming plate.
Detailed Commentary
I received this coffee grinder/brewer combo as a Christmas gift last year. I mostly used a therm type carafe brewer with a braun grinder before and liked it much better. Overall, the coffee is not too bad if I take it out and put it in my old therm carafe right after brewing. The grind from the whirlibird type grinder is fairly even compared with the Braun (which I gave to my boss who wanted it to chop garlic???). I was really hoping for the complete package since it is a well made (for plastic) machine with lots of programability. Overall, having to swap to the therm carafe is too inconvenient (more to wash each day) and I will likely be selling it and going back to a coffee maker that brews directly to a thermos.
